Paula Faris
Paula Faris, an American journalist,
worked previously as the TV reporter at ABC News. Her most well-known work is
her time as cohost of Good Morning America Weekend, from 2014 to 2018, and host
of The View, 2015-2018. She was also co-anchor on America This Morning as well
as World News Now. After graduating, she worked in several
communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James
Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Due to the limited opportunities in television,
she was offered a job as a sales representative for radio. After a year of work
as a production assistant at WKEF/WRGT. She was then in a position to report
and anchor at times. From 2002 until 2005 she was the sports anchor for
weekends and the weekday sports anchor for WPO-TV in Cincinnati. The contract
was ended and she was hired as a reporter and anchor for NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV,
Chicago, from November 2005 until December 2011. In December 2011 she was
recruited by ABC News the division for news of ABC. On January 2, 2012, she
made her debut on the ABC network's World News Now and America This Morning.
She also appeared on Good Morning America's fill in program, Good Morning
America, on January 2, 2012. She was then promoted to New York-based
correspondent for all ABC News programs. The last show she appeared on was
World News Now and America This Morning was on January 22nd 2013. On September
9, 2014, she debuted as co-anchor for Good Morning America Weekend, after the
departure of Bianna Golodryga. The latter was transferred to Yahoo! News. ABC
announced that she will join The View as a cohost for season 19. It was
announced on August 3 in 2016 that she was renewed for for the 20th season. She
was also confirmed as a co-host for Season 21. She was the most prominent
during the 22nd and 21st seasons of the show.
