Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos (Canadian actress) is Tracy Spiridakos. She was the Teletoon child's comedy series Majority Rules' Becky Richards. From 2009 to 2010 she was the lead character Becky Richards in the Teletoon Children's Comedy series Majority Rules! Then she starred as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson in the NBC post-apocalyptic sci-fi series Revolution from 2012-2014, for which she was nominated for an Saturn Award for Best Actress on TV. She portrayed Annika Johnson on the A&E drama on television Bates Motel. Spiridakos is a regular on the NBC drama Chicago P.D. since 2017. As Detective Hailey Upton, Spiridakos is the lead character. Spiridakos was the daughter of restaurant owner George Spiridakos and George Spiridakos, who both were born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She has two siblings. When she was born her family relocated to Skala, Greece, south of Sparta. They returned to Canada in 1992. Spiridakos is very proud of her Greek family and speaks fluent Greek. Spiridakos began acting as a junior high school and studied at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. She graduated from Oak Park High School in Winnipeg in 2000. Spiridakos moved to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting and within weeks landed her first TV role that was a tiny part on Supernatural. She continued working in the world of television, including walk-on roles in Bionic Woman, The L Word, Hellcats, and Psych. Spiridakos was featured in the TV film Goblin and in the web-based series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Spiridakos has also appeared on Being Human as the werewolf Brynn McCLean. In 2009 she was cast in her first role in a starring part in the role of Becky Richards, a 15-year-old girl in Canadian Teletoon's Majority Rules! She made her feature film debut in the year 2011 with Rise of the Planet of the Apes as well as filmed the low-budget Michael Greenspan-helmed thriller, Kill for Me, featuring Donal Logue and Katie Cassidy. Spiridakos appeared as Sammi in the 2012 Nickelodeon original movie, Rags. Then she was offered a leading part on the NBC TV series Revolution as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson, a survivalist in a futuristic dystopian world. She auditioned for the part at the time of her pilot season in Los Angeles. Spiridakos shot her pilot in Atlanta. The first season was filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina. Her performance in the debut season of the show nominated for an Saturn Award as Best Actress on TV. But, she fell to the Fringe's Anna Tov. The second season of the show was recorded in Austin, Texas.
