Rosamund Pike
Born in London in 1979, Rosamund Elizabeth Pike is an actress. She was the sole child of a classical violinist mom Caroline (Friend) as well as an opera singer father Julian Pike. Both parents were extremely hard-working and she travelled extensively throughout Europe during her childhood. Pike was born in Bristol and went to Badminton School. She then began acting at National Youth Theatre. Pike first made an appearance in a National Youth Theatre production "Romeo and Juliet". She was signed by an agent following being observed. Pike also began acting at the National Youth Theatre. While her film debut was a high-budget action movie but the film following was primarily in smaller, independent films such as Promised Land (2004), The Libertine (2004), (for which she received the Best Supporting Actress award at The British Independent Film Awards) as well as Pride & Prejudice (2005) as one of the Bennet daughters.
