Rita Ora (British singer-songwriter) is her name. Rita Sahatciu Ora was a British singer-songwriter who was born to Vera Bajraktari and Besnik Sahatciu in Pristina, Kosovo in 1990. Besim Sahatciu is her granddaughter. When she was just one, her family made the decision to relocate to England. She was born in West London, attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School in Earls Court and graduated from Sylvia Young Theatre School. She began singing at an early age.In 2004 she appeared in the British film Spivs. She was a contestant on Eurovision Your Country needs You on BBC One to be the British contestant for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest but , later on, removed herself from the contest after a few shows because she didn't feel prepared. Ora released her first music in 2007, when she was featured in the Craig David song "Awkward" followed by another appearance on "Where’s Your Love" with TinchyStryder. Ora started singing in bars throughout London. Roc Nation was alerted by an A&R regarding Ora in 2009, just days following Ora traveled to New York and met Jay-Z. In 2009, Ora made a cameo in Jay-Z's video of "Young Forever" and "Over" by Drake. Jay-Z noticed Ora and then sat down to sign her up to Roc Nation. She was featured in a commercial featuring Skullcandy Aviator Headphones. She started singing in the same pub where her father, Besnik, was a pub owner. Gwen Stefani is a major influence on her manner of speaking. She also refers to her father Besnik who was a bar owner. Friends with Kate Moss, and Ed Sheeran.
