American actor
Danielle Riley Keough. [2] Born in Santa Monica, California, to musician Lisa
Marie Presley and Danny Keough, she is a grandchild of actress Priscilla
Presley and singer Elvis Presley. Keough was born in Hawaii by her father and
living in Los Angeles by her mother. She also lived in California and Tennessee
with her mother. When she was 15 Keough started modeling. She was a part of
Dolce & Gabriel's fashion shows as well as at Christian Dior's shows,
and on the cover of Vogue. Keough made her debut in feature films at age 20,
appearing in a supporting part in the musical biopic The Runaways (2010),
portraying Marie Currie. After The Good Doctor (2011) and Jack & Diane
(2012), she appeared in Jack & Diane (2012). Before being cast in Magic
Mike (2012), a minor part in Steven Soderbergh's comedy film Magic Mike (2012).
In 2012, Keough appeared in Yellow and Kiss of the Damned. Then, she appeared
in the action film Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). This was the fourth installment
of the Mad Max series. In 2016, Keough had her breakthrough role as a law
student-turned-escort in the first season of the anthology series The
Girlfriend Experience, executive-produced by Soderbergh and based on his 2009
film of the same name. Her performance received high praise and received
nominations for the Golden Globe Award for Best performance by an actress in a
Television Limited Series or Motion Picture. Keough's following performance as
a shrewd young woman in the drama American Honey (2017) earned her further
acclaim with an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Supporting Female.
Keough was also featured in the 2017 apocalyptic horror movie It Comes at
Night. She also appeared with Soderbergh for Logan Lucky, his heist film. She
followed this with roles in a range of horror and thriller films in 2018
including Lars von Trier's The House That Jack Built and the neo-noir film
Under the Silver Lake, and Hold the Dark. Keough was the lead character in The
Lodge, a psychological horror film. Zola is Keough's comedy-drama sequel.
Keough plays Sandy Harrison in Netflix’s 2020 release of The Devil All the
Time.
